A policeman has been arrested as he created a scene at a public place after drinking alcohol .

Shambhu Chauhan, a policeman , working at Surajahakatti based base camp of Nepal Police was arrested for violating the police code of conduct and creating disturbance at different places.

He was arrested from Biranchibarba on Saturday and sent to District Police Office, Parsa, for action, said Purushottam Pandey, Police Inspector. He was deployed in plain clothes to collect information for the police.

Police have started an investigation in this connection and departmental action would be initiated against Chauhan if he is found guilty, said Dhiraj Pratap Singh, Superintendent of Police at the DPO.
