Mahanayak Rajesh Hamal attends a program, arranged to mark poetry book launch of poet cum actor, Jiwan Luitel in Naxal Banquet. The program was attended by Rajesh Hamal, Karishma Manandhar, Byakul Maila and other dignitaries. Speaking to the program, Mahanayak Rajesh Hamal remembered an incident that took place 2 years before when he was invited in a program by a FM station for interview. In the interview, the actor was asked whether he knew about a poem written by actor Jiwan Luitel for Hamal. The poem was written for Hamal on the occasion of his birthday. Hamal acknowledged Luitel as a poet since then. Sharing the experience of meeting with Jiwan in a coffee shop, Hamal said that he was to stay for an hour but the conversation went so long that they stayed for 3 to 4 hours. He humorously remarked that it is his first time to talk with an actor for such a long period. He noted the conversations with Luitel intensified on the life, acting, Luitel’s perspective and his own perspective. However he came to know that the day was Luitel’s birthday. Going through the lines of Luitel in the poem, “Nayak”, Hamal revealed that he got to know the actor more apparently. Being a poet, he/she deserves to understand the life and other perspective’s of living life, said the Mahanayak in program.
